Heavy wind and rainstorms have disorganised all inter state telegraphic communication. Received Nov. 17, 11.50 p.m. Melbourne, Nov. 17. The storms caused extensive damage. Houses were unroofed, telephone and telegraph lines snapped as though made of cotton and numbers of small craft in Port Philip were blown from their moorings on to the rocks and destroyed.
