OFFICIAL SUMMARY OF POSITION. HUGE AMOUNTS DUE TO ENGLAND. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 17, 8.30 p.m. London, Nov. 16. In the House of Commons the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Winston Churchill, informed Colonel H. Woodcock (Conservative, Everton) that Great Britain owed the United States £932,000,000. Great Britain had received under war debt fundings £2,000,000 from France, which still owed £797,000,000. From Italy she had received £4,000,000, leaving £271,000,000 still owing. Roumania had paid £50,000, and was still owing £31,000,000.

The total receipts were thus £6,050,000, leaving £1,099,000,000 still owing to Great Britain.
