A contract lias been secured by a British firm for a complete underground tube railway system for Buenos Ayres which totals £13,000,000. Commenting upon the anticipated settlement of the coal strike at the end of last week, a cable message from London stated: “There are distinct signs of a trade boom. Industries up and down the country are waiting to carry out orders, the shipyards have received orders for 14 vessels, involving millions, while to-day cabled advice was received from Buenos Ayres that a British tender had been accepted for a complete system of underground tube railways, worth millions.”
