DEATH OF BISOGNE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hawera, Nov. 17. The well-known thoroughbred stallion Bisogne dropped dead this morning. The animal was not insured. HAWERA TRAINING NOTES. C. Jackson was first out with Lethel yesterday, running half a mile on the plough in 51lsec. Alaric and Paitonu went together once* round at three-quarter pace, working freely. Paitonu, who next races as a gelding, works better this season. Eka, Benzora and Tip Tree ran four furlongs, all keeping together, in 51sec. These three race at Feilding. Bonogne ran three furlongs with a heavy weight up in 38Jsec. The two Bisogne mares in E. Murtagh’s stable went three furlongs in 39 sec. Bisox, by herself, ridden along, went half a mile in 51sec. Roman went a mile, but was not out to make time. Euchre, San Fera and Glengariff went two solid rounds separately. C. Jackson was busy with the stock whip making Shut-Eye jump two fences. He is improving each time he jumps. Killoeh jumped once round over five fences by herself, jumping carefully. Sunshot moved scratchily the first time round, but warmed up as he went along. The local course is busy with ponies getting ready for the local show. Caretaker Alf. Morse wants the champion ribbon for the pony and gig, and is a sure starter. MANAWATU CLUB. Nominations for all events in the Manawatu Racing Club’s programme and first forfeits for the Stakes close with the secretary on December 3 at 9 p.m.
