BUDGET DISCLOSES SURPLUS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Hobart, Nov. 17. In the Assembly the Premier, Mr. Lyons, in his Budget speech, said the surplus on the year’s transactions was £28,221; the accumulated deficit to June 30 was £394,551; revenue for the current year was estimated at £2,885,620 and expenditure at £2,863,537; relief, amounting to £139,800, by way of income, land and liquor taxes would be given to taxpayers.
