GALLANT RESCUE ATTEMPTED.

Wellington, Nov. 17. An inquest was held to-day regarding the death of Thomas Tracey, camp cook, aged 68, who fell from the wharf into the harbour on Sunday. In returning a verdict of accidental death by drowning, the coroner said that the seaman, Kingston, who held the deceased man up till a boat arrived, was to. be commended. He had acted promptly and done his best to save Tracey’s life.
