SHOCKS AT MORRINSVILLE FURTHER DAMAGE REPORTED. RESIDENTS BECOME ALARMED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. A further heavy earthquake was felt in Morrinsville at about 3 p.m. to-day when more damage was done. It ig U nl derstood that the residents were quite alarmed. A later message states that further particulars of the earthquakes show that damage was reported in various parts of the town. This afternoon’s shock was the second heaviest recorded in the present series. At the Nottingham Castle Hotel extensive cracks appeared in the ceiling, other buildings being similarly damaged. A slight shock was felt at Hamilton at 2.25 p.m. to-day.
