WESTFIELD MARKET. BEEF DULL OF SALE. Auckland, Last Night. At the Westfield sale, which was held today instead of Wednesday on account of the Royal Show, there was a good yarding, prices again being easier. Heavy cattle were very dull of sale. A pen of extra prime bullocks topped the market at £l5 17s 6d. Extra choice ox sold to 33s per 1001 b; choice and prime, 30s to 395; just killable, 27s to 295; prime young eow and heifer beef, 26s to 30s; just kiilable, 23s to 255. Sheep.—There was a small yarding, values being very firm at late quotations. No extra heavy prime wether were penned. Heavy prime shorn made 26s 6d; medium 23s 6d to 24s 6d; light and unfinished, 19s to 225; heavy prime ewee, 20s 6d to 225; lighter, 17s to 20s; other ewes, 14s to 16s. Calves.—A small yarding sold at advanced prices. Runners made £4 10s to £5 ss; heavy vealers, £3 14s to £4 7s; medium, £2 18s to £3 8s; light, £1 15s to £2 12s; rough, £1 to £1 10s; fresh dropped, 3s to 14s. Pigs.—Au average yarding, prices being on a par with last week. Choppers made £2 10s to £4; heavy baconers, £3 19s to £4 3s; medium baconers, £3 _ 12s to £3 IBs; light baconers, £3 7s to to £3 Ils; heavy porkers, £3 3s to £3 os: medium porkers, £2 12s £3: light porkers, £2 7s to £2 Ils. STRATFORD HAYMARKET. Messrs Newton King. Ltd., report a fair entry of pigs for their Haymarket sale on Saturday.
