COUNCIL’S ANNUAL MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Nothing definite has been received by the New Zealand Athletic Council relative to the proposed tour of American athletes. The latest advice received from Mr. C. G. Krogness, the New Zealand delegate in the United States, states that he is awaiting the decision of the, U.S.A.A.U. on November 16 in regard to the tour, Richardson is available, but he has not succeeded in securing Osborne as yet. As an alternative he is endeavouring to secure the services of Klick and Frieda, two good all-round and field events men. The council, at the annual meeting, allotted the 1927-28 New Zealand championships to Canterbury and the Australasian championships to Wellington on December 26, 27 and 31. The election of officers resulted: Patron, the Governor-General; president, Mr. R. W. McVilly; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. H. Lusk and H. Austad; delegates to the Olympic Council, Messrs. A. W. Travers and R. W. McVilly; sec-retary,-Mr. L. A. Traeey; reinstatement committee, Messrs. G. G. Guy, G. H. Lusk and Austad.
