CANTERBURY CUP MEETING CONCLUDES RAPINE WINS THE STEAD GOLD CUP WAIKATO CUP FALLS TO MASTER DOON ' Saturday saw the conclusion of the Canterbury Cup carnival and the first day of the Waikato Racing Club’s meeting. At Christchurch the Stead Gold Cup was won by Rapine from Commendation, Centrepiece winning the Members’ Handicap and Clarinda the Fendalton Handicap. The Waikato Cup fell to Master Doon. Good sport was provided at each meeting, and at Christchurch the public choice was generally near the mark.
