STRATFORD TECH. v. MIDLAND B. Midland B proved superior to Stratford Technical, winning by 75 runs in the first innings. Stratford Technical made 62 in the first innings, double figures being made by Brown 31 and Townsend 10. Mahoney took three wickets for 28 runs; Fairweather, three for 29; Maloney, three for 4 and two for 0 in the second innings; Johnson, one for 0 and three for 8 in the second innings. Midland made 137 in the first innings, with Dowdle 35, Ridding not out 28, Mahoney 27, and Maloney 21. In the second innings Stratford Technical made 65, Burke (18), Kilpatrick (19) and Curtis (14). McNae took three for 15, Jackson one for 7, and Redding one for 9. SCHOOL A v. SCHOOL B. The School A v. School B match was postponed and will be played during the week. THURSDAY COMPETITION. Cricket delegates representing Eltharn, Stratford and Inglewood met at Stratford on Monday night, Mr. «J. Parfitt presiding. On the motion of Mr. Nairn (I.ltham), seconded by Mr. Williams (Stratford) it was decided that a Thursday competition should be held, to commence on November 18. The hope was expressed that another team would come in in order to avoid a bye. The following fixtures were agreed to:

November 18.—Inglewood v. Eltharn, at Inglewood. November 25.—Stratford v. Eltharn, at Stratford. December 2. —Inglewood v. Stratford, at Stratford. NORTH V. SOUTH TARANAKI. The following team lias been selected to represent the South in the cricket match between North aud South Taranaki, at New Plymouth, on Saturday next: McCarthy, Lay, Crombie, Giblin, Cheevers, A. In the Y.M.C.A. v. Kilbirnie niafch Y.M.C.A. made 109 (M. Henderson 23, Grant 22, R. Henderson not Ait 14). Bowling for Kilbirnie, Badcock took six for 53, Christopherson two for 29. Kilbirnie made 101.

Tn the Petone v. Wellington game the latter batted and made 94 (Hiddleston 21, Bruce 12. Monkhouse 11). Bowling for Petone Brice took three for 11, Reyling three for 41. Petone have lost two wickets for 20 runs. In the Hott v. Institute match the former batted, making 155 (Tattcrsall 57, Nunn 33, MtGirr 22, Gibson 18). Bowling for Institute, Massey took thren for 55, Malcolm four for 55. AUCKLAND GAMES. Auckland, Last Night. In dull, breezy weather, and on soft wickets, cricket was not marked by inspiring scores. Against the new senior team, Y.M.C.A., a tally of 215 was run up by Mount Edin and the Y.M.C.A. team got 64 for one wicket (Bowley 45 not out). Parnell put up 161 against University, who have 32 runs on without loss. At the Domain, Grafton scored an outright win by making 172 against North Shore B, who were dismissed for 19 and 21, Wilson taking 13 wickets for 13 runs. North Shore A, with 118 runs on for five wickets, declared, and got rid of the Ponsonbv team for 98 runa. Playing for Parnell, Irving ecored 81. Playing for North Short P. Gerrard scored 61 not out.
