LOTTERIES AND ART UNIONS.
NEW SOUTH WALES ACT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. ■ Sydney, Dec. 29. The Lotteries and Art Unions Act comes into force on January 1. It prohibits the conduct of raffles and sweeps in New South Wales without special permission. It also bars the sale of tickets in sweeps aoaducted outsjde the State.
