A LUCKY ESCAPE.
DAMAGE TO THE MUSCOOTA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Dec. 29. The Muscoota’s demages are less than anticipated. Her head gear was carried away and her stern twisted. Some of her plates are damaged, the foredeck sprung, and the forepeak is full of water. It is apparent the impact was very heavy and the escape from disaster lucky, as the collision occurred at night and the ship was out of hand for some time. Careful handling alone prevented her drifting on the rocks.
