WAZIRISTAN VILLAGES BOMBED. RAIDS BY AEROPLANE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Delhi, Dec. 28. Sixteen machines bombed Waziristan frontier villages, dropping 41 tons of bombs. It was a complete and successful surprise. The following day three more tons were dropped. One machine was forced to land, but succeeded in returning safely to the base. These raids have been followed by small er bombing raids, eighteen machines drop ping four tons in the two days preceding Christmas Day.
Sixteen machines made 44 different raids pn the Jalalkhel settlements, dropping six ions of bombs. Major Parsons, political Agent at Wana, who was in the leading Machine, was wounded in the arm by rifle Sre from the ground, but the pilot escaped, ilso the observer. Ground targets were •ngaged by machine-guns from the planes, intelligence reports indicate satisfactory remits.
