ILLICIT LIQUOR-SELLING.
IN THE UNITED STATES Received Dec. 24, 5 p.m. Washington, Dec. 23. Taking cognisance of the charges that illicit sellers of liquor are openly plying their trade in the Senate and House of Representatives office buildings, Senator Curtis, Chairman of the Rules Committee, ordeied the Capitol police to arrest all 'bootleggers, no matter who were backing them, or to whom they were selling liquor. He declared no amount of political influence will save the men who are caught violating the prohibition law in the Capitol.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
