Dr. Nansen’s organisation for the relief of Russia reports it is estimated there will be a deficit of at least a million tons of grain in Russia this winter. The Russian authorities estimate eight million famine-stricken people will require assistance. The Soviet Government is not expected to be able to feed more than 4| million. —‘Reuter.
