A TRAIN ABLAZE.
WRECKED BY IRISH REBELS. COLLISION AT FULL SPEED. I THE PASSENGERS SAFE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Dec. 22, 8.5 p.m. London, Dec. 21. Rebel train-wreckers set fire to the Bel-fast-Dublin express near Dunkirk. They compelled the passengers to alight, and sprinkled the carriages with petrol. They then switched the train down the line, and sent her full speed ahead. A Free State munitions train collided with the burning train, the engines and the leading waggons of which overturned. The attackers cut off all communication with Dublin. A large Christmas mail from Ulster to Britain was destroyed with the express. It is reported that seven railwaymen and postal officers are missing since the out-rage.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
