FREE LABOR ON SHIPS.
SAFETY FULLY PRVIDED FOR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Minister of Labor, replying to t pamphlet warning travellers concerning th< employment of free labor and the relaxation of the shipping laws, says the require ments which the Minister has acted on an as effective or even more than an actua compliance with the regulations. He added: “In issuing instructions, we specifically directed that the safety of passengers and crews was to be fully provided for, and we were assured full regard had been paid to the special requirements stipulated.”
