ELTHAM.

(From Our Own Correspondent). At the invitation of the Eltham Progressive Committee, Santa Claus is again paying a visit to Eltham on Christmas Eve. Children of the district all remember the visit last year, and are again looking forward to renewing their acquaintance witn Santa Claus at 2 p.m. to-morrow in the Town Hall. Each child, on presenting a ticket, will receive a gift and a busy time is expected in catering for the happy children. Arrangements are also being made to provide them with a 'bun and a cake. Mr. W. S. Heyes, manager of the local gas works, who has been on holiday leave, returned to Eltham this week. Mr. Heyes is keenly interested in the scout movement. He spent his holiday in Auckland and Waikato districts.
