PAPER RUNNER’S SUICIDE. K By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Dec. 21. William Jack, a paper runner, aged 27 knd single, hanged himself early this morning in the doorway of a motor shed at his father’s residence, 19 Rochester Street, Linwood. Jack had been in indifferent health and complained of nerve trouble. He was to nave been married in a month. ’ Hoarding moving train. Waihi, Dec. 21. Robert Fulton, aged 55 and unmarried, a battery hand at Waikino, while attempting to board a moving train at Karangahake station fell between the carriage and platform, and was dragged beneath the bogie of the guard’s van. Hie chest and ribs were terribly crushed and he expired an hour later. STRANGE SHOOTING CASE. Invercargill, Dec. 21. A strange shooting case occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Andrew S. Wallace, a well-known clerk, motored to Awarua Bay, where he borrowed a rifle to go shooting. He reached a farmhouse in the evening with a gunshot wound through his body near the heart. The victim states that he lay unconscious for a time, then boarded his car to drive for medical aid. Wallace is 35 years old and single. He lies in hospital in a critical condition. MAN FOUND SHOT.
