BOWLING.
INVITATION FROM SYDNEY. In connection with the Taranaki excursion to Sydney early next year, the secretary of the Taranaki Bowling Centre (Mr. .A. T. Moore) is in receipt of a letter from the New South Wales Bowling Association stating that Its executive would be very pleased to welcome any bowlers who might join the excursion, and to arrange an itinerary. In order to facilitate arrangements it will be necessary to furnish particulars as to the probable number of rinks as early as possible, and therefore any Taranaki bowlers desirous of making the trip arc asked to communicate with the secretary of the centre, so that all information can he forwarded to Sydney.
CENTRAL DIVISION. STRATFORD DEFEATS AVON. Playing on the Avon green yesterday, Stratford B defeated Avon A by 88 to 78. Following are the details, Avon players being mentioned first:— Grant, F, Jackson, Frank Weston. North (s) 28; v. Walters, Peick, Sangster, W. McDonald (s') 20. Ball. White, Dickinson, R.
