CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND

GIFT OF MR. AND MRS. C. H. BURGESS. A children’s playground in Wallace Place, Westown, with swings and seesaws, a trapeze and a large circular sandpit is being made available Iby Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Burgess. There mothers may sit and sew, while their tiny charges build sand castlee in the pit, or amuse themselves with the other facilities provided. The danger from passing traffic is obviated, for a low concrete wall with a gate separatee the play area from the street. Along the front and back are planted native shrubs. The playground is for small children only. It is now open but an official opening ceremony will be held.
