VICTORY AT WANGANUI. MARGIN OK TEN WICKETS. LAMBERT AGAIN BRILLIANT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. The match between England and the Minor Associations was concluded to-day, in fine weather, the visitors winning by ten wickets. On the previous day the minor associations made 129 and the Englishmen had lost one wicket for 96. On resuming today, the Englishmen carried their score to 296. Calthorpe, who was 51 not out on the previous day, compiled 117 In an in nings marked by good timing and hard driving. Wilkinson and Brand shaped tho best of the rest. The visitors forced the paco to make their display a sporting one, and all hit out at the bowling. The honk* team’s bowling was lacking in quality, as Holland was indisposed and had to withdraw from the game.

At their second effort the minor associations fared better, Lambert taking the honors with a sterling display. The Englishmen made light of the task set them to win, Lowry and Hill-Wood quickly knocking up the necessary 34 runs. Details:. ENGLAND.
