UNLOADING THE MAKURA. rfy Telegraph.-- -Press Assn.—Copyright. Vancouver, Dec. 18. Longshoremen will vote on Thursday whether to unload the Makura, arriving on Thursday. GOING BACK TO WORK. Sydney; Dec. 19. The Seamen’s Union has declined officially to confirm the resolution that the strike is off, but it is understood the men have been advised to seek engagements wherever they please on the best terms obtainable. The Union Company proposes to ignore the resolution if hedged around with conditions affecting volunteer labour.
