Sir Auckland Geddes, British Ambassador, had a conference with Secretary Davis as the result of a question in the House of Commons recently concerning the treatment of British subjects at Ellis Island. It is understood that Mr." Davis painted out that immigrants were receiving excellent treatment and that welfare organisations of various kinds had investigated the conditions and found the complaints were merely propaganda to discredit the present immigration restrictions. It is understood that plane are under way to rebuild the establishment at Ellis Island in order to provide for the segregation of different races.
