hawera military meeting. Ihe military sports organised by the 15th Company Cadets’ Sports Club took place at the showgrounds, Hawera, on Saturday. Good entries were received for all events on the programme and competition was keen. A special word of praise is due to ithe chairman of the committee, Sergt. G. W. Powdrell, the secretary (Corporal E. W. Taylor), and the starter (Mr. L. Marter), for the efficient manner in which carried out their duties and to whose efforts the success of the gathering was largely due. following are the results: 120 Yards Maiden Handicap (for cadets only).—-F.
