INTER-CLUB COMPETITIONS. NEW PLYMOUTH B. v. PARK. The inter-club competitions being run under the auspices of the Taranaki Lawn Tennis Associa.ion were continued on Saturday in. beautiful weather. In the B grade (north section). New Plymouth secured a decisive win over Park. The A grade match between Waverley and New Plymouth, at Waverley, did not take place, but it is possible that this fixture will be arranged for January 13. Following are details of the New Plymouth B v. Park match, New Plymouth players being mentioned first in each case: Lydies’ Singles: Miss Winfield lost to Miss Malcolm, 6—7. Miss Rocket beat Miss Honner 7—l. Men’s Singles: Merron beat Shipton 9—l Turner lost to Colson (sub.) 5—9; Valentine beat Boswell 9—l; Wilson beat Shearer 9—l; Atkinson beat Sole 9—2; Andrews beat Boon 9—3. Men’s Doubles: Merron and Turner bent Shipton and Shearer 9—2; Valentine and Wilson beat Colson (sub.) and Boswell 9—3; Atkinson and Andrews beat Sole and Boon 9 4Combined Doubles: Miss Winfield and Merron lost to Miss Malcolm and Shipton 7—6; Miss Rockel and Atkinson beat Miss Bonner and Shearer 7—5. 1 Totals: New Plymouth 10 matches, 103
