N.S.W. LADIES’ TEAM. By Telegraph -Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. The New South Wales ladies’ tennis team — Mrs. Lascelles, Misses, Lance, Lloyd and Gray —arrived at Hamilton on Saturday and played an exhibition set and one double against local ladies. Unfortunately, rain fell in the morning and early afternoon, and cosequently play was delayed until four o’clock. The surface of the courts was slippery, which affected play somewhat. Miss Lance and Mrs. Lascelles played splendid shots with speed and certainty. Miss Lance’s forehand and the accuracy of Mrs. Lascelles’ backhand brought many rounds of applause.. In a single. Miss Lance beat Mrs. Lascelles, 6—4, 6—l. In doubles, Miss Lloyd and Miss Gray defeated Mrs. McCracken and Miss Wilkinson (Hamilton), 6—2, 6—o.
