A MUCH DISCUSSED FIGHT. SIKI v. CARPENTIER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Paris, Dec. 13. Carpentier and Siki continue to pile up points in the linguistic preliminary return match. Both assert they are willing to fight for the honor and benefit of French science. Siki, however, demands his reinstatement, but the French Boxing Federation, which refuses to consent to the.- match unless Siki proves (he charge that the recent match was faked. Is unlikely to agree until the inquiry into the charges is concluded. Carpentier's supporters meantime have supplied evidence to the federation in support oi their claim that Siki’s allegations are a pure invention. Siki, after disappearing from Paris, now announces his readiness to give evidence. Siki wants to fight within three months. Carpentier says he will be unable to use his hands under a month, but hopes to oblige Siki in two months thereafter. A further difficulty exists regarding expenses, as the federation demands that the whole of the gate shall go to scientific objects. Siki has signed a contract to fight Carpentier twenty rounds between February 15 and March 15. HANSEN CHALLENGED. Prior io the professional fight at Wednesday night’s boxing tournament at Eltham. Mr. W. .1. Tristram announced that Len MeAsey had challenged the winner of that nights contest to fight under any association, and Les. Gleeson would also make a challenge to the winner. The winner turned out to be F. Hansen, who is a clever boxer, and Is in the pink of condition.
