Engliih cricket is properly shocked at tne report that Mr. MacLaren considered Australasian cricket sporting all through, whereas commercial ism interfered with English county cricket. The diet in so upsets preconceived English beliefs that cricketers are mystlHea. Douglas said he was puzzled, but made no further comment. Another authority says it is astonishing coining from a man of Mr. MacLaren’s status.
