WEDDING. FE'N DELL—PATTERSON. A quiet and pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Cuthlbert’s, Manaia, on November 15, when Edith Joyce, daughter of Mr. J. J. Patterson, was married to Harold Churchill, second son of the Rev. F. P. Fendell, of Glenmark, Christchurch. The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in cream satin charmeuse draped with georgette, and wore the usual veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaid, Miss Rose Patterson, wore a frock of lemon coloured charmeuse, draped with ninon, with a sash of nigger brown and a hat to match. Both the bride and her sister carried beautiful bouquets. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. F. W. Waddell as best man. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Swainson, and the “Wedding March” was played by Miss Bridge. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, after which the happy couple left for the South Island, where the honeymoon was spent.
