WEST END GALA.

On Saturday Kawaroa Park will present a very animated scene, 1 as arrangements are now complete for the West' End Gala there that day. For weeks past the children and friends of the school have been working very assiduously to ensure its success, and the various stalls should be laden with good things. The children, under the tuition of the teachers, are giving some spectacular items that should please, whilst there are numerous races and competitions, many of which are distinctly novel, and all are evoking keen interest. A special attraction is the New Plymouth Pipe Band, which has kindly assented to give a programme of music during the afternoon The catering arrangements are in the hands of the energetic Kawaroa Park ladies' committee. A feature is the splendid way in which the members of the Kawaroa Park are entering into the gala, placing the wholo of their appointments at the disposal of the committee. The day. which should prove thoroughly enjoyable to all, will conclude with a dance in the night.
