SHORT OF FUNDS.

ASQUITHIAN PARTY’S QUANDARY

By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Dec. 10. The question of party funds is likely to give the mooted reunion of Liberals a sudden set-back, says the Daily Mail’s political correspondent. The Asquithians, whose funds are comparatively insignificant, are casting covetbus eyes on the Lloyd George funds. Though the total has never been officially divulged it is believed to exceed two “millions. The Asquithians argue that the fund was subscribed for Liberal propaganda, and, as/ the Asquithians are predominant in the Liberal Party they are entitled to the money. It is suggested that the matter should be determined in a court of law. An adjourned meeting to discuss reunion is being held on Monday.
