Mr. Davis, Secretary of Labor, replying to the criticism voiced in the British House of Commons against the conditions at the Ellis Island. Immigration Station, declared they compared favorably with any immigration station abroad. He said an immigrant here received better -treatment, and food and sanitary conditions were better than in any other part or the world. Mr. Davis added that, as a Welshman and a member of the American Welsh Society, he had invited Mr. Lloyd George to visit the United States to inspect Ellis Island.
