CLEMENCEAU AND WILSON.
OLD FRIENDS MEET. Washington, Dec. 6. What all America awaited occurred to-day, when M. Clemenceau and exPresident Wilson met at Mr. Wilson’s home for a quarter of an hour. M. Clemenceau afterwards said they discussed neither the Frenchman s miss’cn nor speeches already made. They merely conversed about old times. Clemenceau said it was an affectionate meeting, recalling the incidents nearly years old, just before ex-Presiden' Wilson left Paris with the treaty. The Frenchman declared Mr. Wilson to be as alert as ever.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
