WEDDINGS.
COLE—ROWE. A quiet but very pretty wedding was celebrated on October 4, at the Presbyterian Church, Hawera, by the Rev. James Ings, when Charles Henry, third son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Benjamin Cole, of Palmerston North, was married to Nellie Maude Harrison, second daughter of the late Mr. John Rowe, of Inglewood. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. L. V. Rowe, of Whakamara, was charmingly attired in a simple gown of saxe blue and mauve silk, very neatly trimmed, and a blue and biscuit-colored hat, with veil to match; carried a beautiful bouquet, and was attended by Miss Maggie Blair as bridesmaid, the latter wearing a handsome knitted silk frock of peacock blue, with black hat to match, and she carried a very pretty bouquet of primroses. The best man was Mr. O. W. Rowe, brother of the bride. After the ceremony the breakfast was partaken of by friends and relations at the Carlton Tea-rooms, and the usual toasts were honored. There were many valuable presents and telegrams of congratulations. The happy couple left by the 4.50 train, en route for Nelson, for their honeymoon.
CAMPBELL—CASSIDY.
A quiet but pretty wedding took place at the Presbyterian Church, Kaponga, on Wednesday, November 29, when Miss Catherine Campbell, daughter of the late Mr. Peter Campbell, of Hawera, and of Mrs. Campbell, of Riverlea, was married to Mr. Walter Stoddart Cassidy, son of the late Mr. F.
