INCOMPLETE RETURNS. JENNINGS BEHIND. A CLOSE CONTES F. (By Wire—Special Reporter.) Waitara, Last Night. Though the returns are not yet complete, it would appear that Mr. W. T. Jennings is going to be defeated for the Waitomo electorate by the Government supporter, Mr. J. C. Rolleston. The present totals place Mr. Rolleston in the lead with 3361 votes against 3240 polled by Mr. Jennings, There are three small returns to come, but I cannot ascertain if they will affect the result. The following details give the principal booths in the Taranaki part of the electorate and latest totals available:— Jennings. Rolleston.
Majority for Rolleston 121 Three small returns to coune. Absent voters 323. (Continued on Page 6.)
