REGAINING PROSPERITY.
DOMINION FINANCES IMPROVE MONEY AT THREE PER CENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, Last Night. Speaking here to-night, Mr. Massey re* ferred to the improvement in the financial position during the first eight months of the financial year, and said he believed itwould continue until the end of the financial year. If so, the balance would be x»n the right side. He mentioned that recently he had re* cieved a cablegram from London offering £500,000 at 3 per cent. He had cabled back and made it £1,000,000, and had got it. (Applause.) The credit of the Dominion was highest of any country in tho world. He predicted they would see wool steadily increasing in price for the next eighteen months. Th? B.A.W.R.A. wool would shortly be exhausted, and then the demand would exceed the supply. Mr. Massey added: “We can look forward to the future with confidence, and look the whole worD in the face and pay our way.”
