Nominations for the Taranaki Jockey Club‘s Christmas meeting closed last, night, and veiy good fields have been entered for the majority of the events. The big event of the first day. the Christmas Handicap, has attracted eleven entries, while the hurdles has attracted seventeen. The New Plymouth Handicap, on the second day’s card, has drawn twelve nominations, and the hurdles twenty-one. Following are the detailed nominations:— FIRST DAY. AWAKING BEACH CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Awakino Beach Racing Club was held on the beach on Saturday.
