THE BANK OF NEW ZEALAND'S PROPOSALS. (To the Editor). -Sir, —It seems remarkable that the financial experts who control the Bank of New Zealand have been content to use, sole.lj' for banking purposes, one of the most valuable corners in the heart of one of the most progressive towns in New Zealand. Now, even they recognise that tjw old one-storey wooden building must be re-modelled and patched up if it is to serve for a few more years. To the it would appear that a modern building 'could be erected that would at least enable them to sit rent free, but perhaps they are not financial or even experts.—l am, etc., STONIE E. BROKE.
