ACTIVITY IN NEW PLYMOUTH. BRISK DURING NOVEMBER. Activity in the building trade in and around New Plymouth is being well maintained, permits to the valua of £13,115 having been issued by tha borough building inspector last month. The value of the fees was £6O. November last year was a particularly busy month, the value of the permits being £38,169, but last month is considered a good average month. The permits included 12 new houses, ranging in value from £6OO to £1250, and four new shopa, two being in. brick at Strandon Street and two in Liardet Street. Other work done was in connection with garages, and additions and repairs.
