TAURANGA CASE IN LONDON. By TeleffraplJ.—Pre*® Amo.— London, Nov. 20. Proceedings in the Marylebone Polics Court to confirm a maintenance ordei made by the Magistrate at Tawanga New Zealand, against Albert Bannister now resident in London, were taken at the instance of the Colonial Secretary under the 1920 Act. It is stated to be the first case of its kind m London. The New Zealand order directed aefendant to pay £4 10s weekly to support his wife and two children at Tauranga. Defendant repudiated the desertion charge and said he t rejoin his wife. Tbe Marylebon* Magistrate confirmed the order, b “ t duced the amount to £1 10s- He "ged defendant to buck up, to send his family more, and to return to them as soon as possible.
