LIVING MUST BE CHEAPER. A MATTER FOR INDUSTRY. By Telegraph.—PreSß Association Invercargill, Last N’ght. At a sitting of the Arbitration Court here to-day, Mr. Justice Frazer made an important pronouncement. He said the reduction in wages had now reached a stage where further reductions by the Court would not be made unless the cost of living was further reduced. The matter was now in the hands of manufacturers and employers, and only through them could a further reduction in the cost of living be made. Future act on lay in their hands.
