Many vessels are coming and going. The Seamen’s Union exesutive is still sitting, but has nothing to report as to the nature oi the proceedings. It is believed the bulk of the members of the union are now getting restive at the [prolonged period of unremunarative and forced idleness, and that if the guarantee asked for by the shipowners from the union is not forthcoming the men themselves will compel the executive to take steps to bring about a return to normal conditions. The Union Company has decided to put the Maori into the Lyttelton ferry running again on Wednesday. A. full non-unionist crew has been obtained. POSITION AT AUCKLAND. NORTHERN COMPANY NORMAL. Auckland, Last Night. The Northern Company to-day obtained crews for three vessels, the Ngapuhi, Manaia and Rimu, all its vessels being now manned. The Manaia sailed tonight for Whangarei and the others will sail for their destinations to-morrow. The Union Company’s sails io-morrow for Gisborne and Aapier. The company has suspended engaging labor in view of the expected early settlement.
