SATURDAY'S MATCHES. WEST END v. NEW PLYMOUTH. The bowling matches In North Taranaki on Saturday were carried out in ideal weather, though the greens were a trifle heavy and conducive to short deliveries. In the game between New Plymouth and West End 14 teams on each side took part, one half the number playing on each club’s green. West End suffered defeat on both greens by an aggregate of 32 points, 27 of which resulted frort play on their own ground and flve at New Plymouth. Taken all round, the play Wai not only keen and enjoyable, but was of a satisfactory standard, quite a number of heads being well up to tournament form.
