The Nichi Nichi declares that citizenship ought to be granted subjects of any cultured nation, but naturalisation is a thing to be granted unforced. The time will come when Americano will have a better conception of the Japanese. The Japan Times says that the time is not far distant when all Japanese will be driven from America. The Yorodzu Choho predicts that the decision will impair friendly relations ‘between the two countries.
