THREE LINERS.
BUSY WEEK-END IN PORT. DIRECT AMERICAN SHIPMENTS. Three liners, of an aggregate tonnage of 23,924 tons, will be in port at New Plymouth during the week-end. The vessels are the Port Denison tons), now at the wharf; the Waihemo (5627 tons), due to-day, and the Otaki 7963 tons), due to-morrow, the lastnamed two remaining in the stream. The Port Denison brought 1000 tons of direct English cargo and ifl now engaged loading produce for shipment, to London. Roth the other vessels bring direct shipments. The Waihemo. which left Napier at 8 p.m. on Thursday, should arrive about noon to-day with Pacific Coast cargo, includin' asphaltum, newsprint, timber, 13,0( cases of motor spirit, dried fruit, can ned fish, and general. The Otaki, which left Dunedin at 3 p.m. yesterday, should reach here about noon to-morrow, with 975 tons of general cargo from New York, including 17,500 cases of benzine and kerosene and 3 motor-ears. Both vessels have been instructed to proceed under easy steam as the overseas berth will not be available till the departure of the Port Denison late on Monday or on Tuesday. The present arrangement is for the Otaki to berth first, her discharge being expected to occupy about two days. On her departure the Waihemo will come alongside.
