INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent,) In proof of the close approach of Sunday’s thunderstorm to Inglewood, it is worth recording that at Mr. J. V. Chapman’s house, Durham Road west, just about midday, a vivid flash of lightning broke the top rail of the garden gate, about a chain away from the house, and gave Mrs. Chapman, who was indoors, a shock. A final reminder is given of the matinee concert this (Thursday) afternoon, and of the euchre party and dance this evening, in connection with the Inglewpod Convent school, to be held in the Town Hall. All possible preparations are complete.
