In accordance with the previous decision not to accept the 48 hours week, coupled with a demand for an increase in wages to Cl daily, the cold storage employees at Homebush refund to work to-day. Tliis led to 300 slaughtermen being rendered idle. The strike will not. affect local meat supplies, but will seriously affect the meat export trade.
