FARM AND DAIRY.
STRATFORD MODEL FARM. The executive committee of the Stratford Model Dairy Farm and Experimental Area. Society (Incorporated), mot on the Sth instant. The manager's report for the period October 11 to November 8 was received, and is as follows: 52 cows are being milked, the quantity of milk for the month being 45.957 lb, a verage test 4.0. The sowing down with grass seed in last year’s swede paddock amongst oats was completed between October 21 and 25; 1 acre of grass peas were sown at the same time. Five acres of soft turnips were drilled on November 7. the varieties being: Purple Top Mammoth, 1 acre; Red Paragon, 1 acre; Hardy Greenglobe, 3 acres. As there are a lot of pigs on hand at present, and not too much feed, 1 think it would pay to sell the whole lino of 24 pigs: 11 pigs are ready for baeoners. and about 13 porkers; the company are pay--1 ing more for porkers. It was resolvd that the matter of estimates for seeds and manures for November be held over.
